Thick Rope Webs
Standard SpiderWebMan webs are made from 3/16 inch cotton rope. The GlowWebs are made from special 5mm nylon rope (5mm is close to the same as 3/16 inch) that will glow when you shine a black light on it. The 3/16 inch cotton rope and 5mm nylon rope works best for most applications. It is strong enough to support large spiders as can be seen in some of the customer pictures, yet it is light enough that it stretches out easily on most houses. If you don't have any heavy items on the web then for the anchor points on the house, a medium sized nail in the eaves of the house works fine.
If you want thicker rope, SpiderWebMan can make the standard webs out of 7/32 inch cotton rope or he can make the GlowWebs out of 8mm nylon rope. Below is a picture showing the different ropes.
From left to right: Standard 3/16" cotton rope, Thick 7/32" cotton rope, Nylon rope used by the cheap manufactured webs, Standard 5mm nylon rope used for the GlowWebs, Thick 8mm nylon rope used for the thick rope GlowWebs (note that the nylon ropes get a bit thinner under tension)
Note that the middle rope is the rope used by the cheaper manufactured spider webs, SpiderWebMan does NOT use the middle rope. The thick rope can be seen a little better and is stronger. But realize that it weighs twice as much as the 3/16 inch rope and is stiffer. To get it to stretch out well on your house requires stronger anchors, especially for the 33 ft and 50 ft webs. You can use large screw eyes in the eaves of your house, if the wood on your eaves is thick. Otherwise you may need to get a masonry drill bit to drill a hole into the mortar of your brick and use masonry anchors.
The 8mm thick rope web is on the left. The 5mm rope web is on the right.
